Drones again spotted hovering over Military & Air Force establishments in Jammu | India News

JAMMU: Army troops on Wednesday spotted flying objects hovering over Military Station and Air Force signal here for the third consecutive day.
Sources said that the Army troops noticed one drone activity over Military Station near Goswami enclave at Kaluchak at around 0440 hours.
“Soon after around one hour of its spotting, another drone was seen hovering over the Air Force signal in the Kunjwani area at the height of 800 to 1000 meters, they added.
Sources said, “Accordingly both the spots cordoned off and high alert is sounded”Army troops on Tuesday also spotted the drone near Military Station in Ratnuchak-Kunjwani areas here in the city outskirts.”
Earlier on Monday, the Army had successfully thwarted drone activity near Ratnuchak-Kaluchak Military Station along the Jammu-Pathankot national highway.
Pertinently two explosions rocked Jammu Air Force Station in the early hours of Sunday believed to be airdropped from the drones, leaving two Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel injured and portion of the building damaged in the high-security zone.
Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Dilbag Singh on Tuesday said that the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a terror outfit based out of Pakistan, is suspected to be responsible for the attack.
“A cocktail of explosive material, including RDX, is believed to have been used in these blasts.”
The case was handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday.
Besides National Investigation Agency (NIA), NSG teams are also probing the matter while NIA has registered an FIR in this case.
